§ 40-93. Connection permit requirements; pre-issuance inspection.

  • No work of laying the water lateral and/or water service pipe shall be commenced or continued without the required connection permit being on the premises. At the time of connecting, the water lateral and/or water service pipe to the meter setting shall be inspected by the utility or its designate. Connection permits shall not be granted unless all of the following conditions are met:

    (1)

    The premises to be served are situated on a lot or parcel within the utility and abutting on any street, alley, easement or right-of-way in which a utility water main is located, or, where the property owner has agreed to and fully complied with subdivision III of division 4 of this article for a main extension; and

    (2)

    The property owner agrees to install a water service pipe from the curb stop to the unit of service according to all utility specifications; and

    (3)

    The premises to be served will have adequate piping beyond the metering point.
