§ 40-529. Operation and opening of city valves and hydrants prohibited.

No person shall, without authority of the superintendent, operate any valve connected with the utility water distribution system, or open any fire hydrant connected with the distribution system, except for the purpose of extinguishing fire, or shall wantonly damage or impair the same.
