§ 40-162. Stop box and curb stop inspection.

The utility shall inspect the stop box and curb stop prior to setting of the water meter to ascertain any damages incurred during construction of improvements on a given lot. If at that inspection, or any prior inspection it is found that the stop box and curb stop have been damaged, they shall be repaired by the utility and the full cost of said repair shall be paid by the property owner. If not paid within 90 days, the cost of said repairs shall be placed on the tax roll as a special tax against the property.
